Sunwise Ambassador - Morgan Jones

Background

Morgan got in to athletics at the age of 15 maybe 16. Before his time in athletics he used to play a lot of rugby and badminton and generally kept himself active. His decision to get into athletics came after meeting some of the coaches from Disability Sport Wales. They believed he would be good at athletics and on their advice he gave it a go. Ever since he has been hooked! Morgan first tried his hand at discus throwing but quickly realised that he was much more suited to jumping and sprints. Since this switch in events he has been training full time for the last 4 years! Alongside his own training he has now begun to help the next generation of athletes in the Disability Sport Wales Para Academy by coaching a group of sprinters three times per week.

To help achieve this goal he has begun training with a group of Welsh Para sprinters, coached by Christian Malcolm.
